AILET B.A.LL.B.(Hons.)

English Language

50 questions, 50 marks · Within the 120 minutes

1 mark for a right answer. 0.25 marks are deducted for a wrong answer. The AILET 2027 exam-details page names the section and the count, and does not print a topic list inside English. This practice test uses reading passages, which is the shape of Section A in the university's 2024 and 2026 booklets.

  • Read a passage and answer from it
  • Identify the main point
  • Pick out a fact the passage states
  • Draw an inference the passage supports
  • Read a word in the sense the passage gives it
  • Judge the writer's attitude

Current Affairs & General Knowledge

30 questions, 30 marks · Within the 120 minutes

1 mark for a right answer. 0.25 marks are deducted for a wrong answer. The exam-details page does not print a topic list inside this section. Questions here are standalone, not passage sets, matching the break between Section A and Section B in the university's booklets. Facts stop at 2024.

  • Constitution and public institutions
  • Historical events of continuing significance
  • Geography of India
  • Textbook science
  • Arts and culture
  • International institutions and agreements, kept here to facts from 2024 or earlier

Logical Reasoning

70 questions, 70 marks · Within the 120 minutes

1 mark for a right answer. 0.25 marks are deducted for a wrong answer. The exam-details page says legal principles may be used to test logical aptitude and that no legal knowledge is required. It does not print how many of the 70 questions are of each kind. This test puts stated principles in their own passages and keeps the rest as critical reasoning and short analytical items.

  • Decide what must follow from short statements
  • Find an assumption an argument needs
  • Judge what strengthens or weakens a conclusion
  • Solve a small arrangement, order, series, code or relation
  • Apply a principle that the question itself states, with no need for outside legal knowledge
